Department Information

The Department of Economics was started in 1974. Since its inception, it has been focusing on proper blending of 'quality' and 'relevance’. At present, Prof. Dr. Mrs. S. S. Rathod is the Head and Dr. D. P. Gawade is the Asst. Professor. Other faculty requirement is met by appointing 2 CHB faculties.

  • To develop financially literate society
  • To enable students to understood importance of financial transactions.
  • To inform the students about the working policies of the economy.
  • To impart the knowledge of changing economic developments to the students.
  • To acquaint the students with the changing nature of world economics from ancient economics to micro and macro economics of current scenario.
  • To provide information about financial transactions in daily life.

PO3 Get the skill required to respond to analyze the global business and economic issues.
PO4 Get information on monetary policy, Fiscal policy, International policy, product pricing and factor pricing.
PO5 Acquire information about past and present economic trends.

PSO1 Understand basic concepts of micro economics and macro economics
PSO2 Create student’s ability to suggest solutions for various economic problems.
PSO3 Analyze past and present events from an economic perspective
PSO4 Create awareness of economic activity in Indian and world economy.
Departmental Facilities and Use of ICT Tools:

The Department of Economics practiced various ICT tools in the teaching learning processes aiming to make the lectures more resourceful. E-Learning sources played a vital role to understand basics concepts of Economics in effective manners.
