Sports
General Information :
Sports Department has completed 47 years since its establishment in 1971. It has achieved tremendous success in the last three years after accreditation in 2014-15. The number of sport persons have participated and won many prizes in the State and National sports events. The institution is proud of the success achieved by the sport persons in International & National events particularly in Shooting, Power Lifting, Rope Mallkhamb, Yoga & Wrestling. The sport persons of the college also specialize in Football, Hockey, Body Building, Kabbaddi, Khokho, Judo, Softball, Boxing, Cricket, etc.
Gymkhana Hall :
Every year more than two hundred students participate in different sports activities. Hence, to provide Gymnasium and other facilities to the students there is a special Gymkhana hall. The hall is furnished with modern equipments of exercise such as Double Bar, Single Bar, Cycle, Dumbbells, Press Bench, Twister, Up-down pulley, Leg Press, Calf Raise, Abdominal Board, Walker, Chest Press etc.
Play Ground :
The institution has provided well maintained playgrounds for the sports like volley ball, kabbaddi, khokho, basket ball. The institution makes optimal use of its infrastructure resources. For instance, the Yashwantrao Chavan Hall is used for number of activities such as chess, wrestling, judo, boxing, fencing, tae kwon do, yoga etc. The further requirements of the department in case of other games like cricket, Football, Hockey, Soft ball, shooting range, tennis are fulfilled by hiring the playgrounds from The different sports associations in the city area.
