With the establishment of Shri Shahu Chhatrapati Shikshan Sanstha, Shri Shahaji Chhatrapati Mahavidyalaya. The college library was established on 15th June 1971. The Name of the library was changed to Shivaji Granthalaya in 1996 by Shripatro Bondre dada chairman of Shri Shahu Chhatrapati Sanstha's. Shripatrao Bondredada had taken care of the development of this library from the very beginning. Over the last fifty years, the Shivaji Library has gained a reputation as the richest library in the Shivaji University region.
Upon entering the first floor of Shri Shahaji Chhatrapati Mahavidyalaya, on the north side, there is Shivaji Library in a space of 4637 square feet. As soon as one enters the library, one comes to the notice of the readers the digitally prepared decrees written by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj three and a half hundred years ago on water conservation, tree conservation and waste management. The bust of Chhatrapati Rajaram Maharaj and his biography come to the notice of the readers. Is. More than 40 books of college professors under the faculty publication near the statue of Rajaram Maharaj attract the attention of the readers. Photos of more than 50 Marathi writers are displayed in the display area.

The grandeur of the library is evident from the fact that the total number of books in the library is 83400+ (March 2024). With the help of "Easy and Useful" computerized Vidyasagar Library algorithm, online entry of readers is done on the basis of barcodes given to the readers. Also the books taken and collected by them are recorded on computer algorithm by barcode. In the library's stack room, text books for arts, commerce, science, reference books on various subjects, Marathi encyclopedias, dictionaries in various languages are available for the readers. In the newly introduced compactor rack of the library, various bibliographies are stacked according to Dewey Decimal's classification method.
