Our department is established in the year 2015. During first year Dr. P. D. Awate was only one faculty member later on during 2015 Dr. M. M. Aitawade and Dr. P.P. Jadhav Joined the department of botany and well flourish them. Now Mrs. A. V. Magdum-Patil and Miss. S. B. Chavan join department of Botany
Vision
- To conduct innovative research, teaching and outreach on the patterns and processes of life with a focus on plants and their environments.
Mission
- We focus on the patterns and processes that enable predictive understanding of plants and their environments at local, regional, and global scales, leading to strengths in the areas of ecology, evolution, and systematic.
Objectives
- To impart quality education in the fields of Botany to make the students acquire an in-depth knowledge relevant to local, regional needs.

In Botany Department well equipped laboratory was present in which microscopes, preserved specimens was present.

The departmental library has been started in last five years which makes available different variety of books to enrich the learning of Botanical concepts. In our department library which is having reference books, e-journals, magazines etc. We exchange the books with all year B.Sc. students and we maintain the record of it.
