Brief Information

Department of Marathi was established in 1974. Mr. S. S. Bhosale was the first Head of the Department. Then Dr. L. R. Nasirabadkar, Dr. Chandrakumar Nalage, Dr. D. B. Ratnakar Headed this Department. Dr. D. K. Valvi is present Head of the Department. Our department was organized one day National Seminar on “Tribal Society: Literature, Culture and Psychographic Relationship” on Jan. 2013. We also arranged various programmes just like, 'Lekhed Aplya Bhetila', 'Kavya Sammelen', 'Kavya Sandhya', Guest Lectures, Folk Culture etc. for enrichment of student. We made strong methods of evaluation of the students in which, Annual and Terminal Examinations, Suprising Test, Open Book Examination was conducted.

• To develop the social skills for future life of the students .
• To promote and support to the students for higher education in different fields.
• To promote and support to the students for competitive examination.

• Covered various types of subjects Audio-Video Cassttee.
• Department covered with various posters related to well known authors, information about books and the prizes.
• Notice board situated out side of the Department.

• Library visits - Shivaji University Kolhapur and Karvir Nagar Vachan Mandir Kolhapur.
• Students and Teachers participation in workshop, Seminars conducted Dept. and also various colleges in the city. So many students participated in the Lead College Activity.
• Alumni Meet is arranged in each term of Academic Year. .
