Innovative Programmes (2017-18 to 2021-22):
The Department of Commerce has initiated many innovative practices to ensure the growth of students during the assessment period from 2017-18 to 2021-22. These practices have made academic environment more vibrant and energetic. Major innovative practices are:
TRADE FAIRS:
The Department of Commerce organizes ‘Student Trade Fair’. It aims to provide the first-hand experience of the marketing world to the students. The Department of Commerce is committed to making the event grand success. In our trade fair, the students form groups and set up a stall in the premises of college. Through stalls student sell out agricultural, cosmetics, food items, jewellery, handicrafts, clothing and other products. In assessment period two Trade Fairs were organized by the department. Details of Trade Fairs are as follows.

Practical Based Workshops
Department of Commerce organized three practical workshops on Accounting, Tally and Research Methodology. These activities proved fruitful for the students to getting practical knowledge to develop their career.

Student Centric Programmes:
Commerce Forum
The Department of Commerce had introduced ‘Commerce Forum’. The main objective of the forum is to inculcate the students with the latest knowledge of how, what, when and so on things happening in and around the surrounding business world. During the assessment period, total 34 various activities were organized under Commerce Forum.
Poster Presentations
Department of commerce organizes poster presentationson varioussubjects related to syllabus. This activity enhances subject knowledge of the student and improves their presentation skill. Organization of Webinars/ Seminars/Conferences/Workshops/Lead College
Workshops
The Department of Commerce organized 7 National Webinars and 1 Lead College Workshop during the assessment period. These academic events were organized to provide vibrant atmosphere of learning and to explore new dimensions of Commerce subject.
National Webinar on Research Methodology and Project Report. Both the resource persons talked about use research methodology in commerce and management, use of research methodology in project work and how to prepare project report. Both the resource person and chairperson gave answer to the questions of the participants.

The resource person Mr. Shankararo Karape pointed out the basics of stock market, various investment opportunities in Stock market and trading strategies of stock Market. National webinar on ‘Importance of Goods and service Tax and its Impact on Indian economy’. The resource person C.A. JyotiHargude explained GST act and its provisions. Chairperson Dr. A. G. Suryawashi explained Impact of GST Act on Indian Economy. Both the resource person and chairperson gave answer to the questions of the participants.

National webinar on ‘Importance of Consumer Protection Act 2019’. The resource person Adv. Kiran Khatavkar expressed views about clauses of Consumer Protection and another resource person Adv. Pratap Jadhav expressed difference between Consumer Protection Act 1986 and 2019. Both the resource person gave answer to the questions of the participants.

National webinar on ‘Direct Tax System in India ’. The resource person C.A. Swapnil Shete highlighted Indian Taxation System, Direct Tax System in India and explained various clauses of Income Tax act. The resource person gave answer to the questions of the participants.

National webinar on ‘Career Opportunities I Public, Private and Co-operative Banks’. The resource person Dr. V. M. Kumbhar discussed entire recruitment procedure of Public sector banks and guided students how to face these examinations. Chairperson Mr. Chetan Narake highlighted skills required for banking sector, explained recruitment procedure of Co-operative banks.

Lead College Workshops
Lead College Workshop on "Careers in Service Sector" on 29-1-2019. Mr. DhanrajBhosale(Resource Person) gave information about careers in Hotel Management sector. Mr. AbhijitPatil (Resource Person) introduced insurance sector in India and explained procedure of becoming an Insurance Advisor. Mr. SwapnilTambekar(Resource Person) highlighted various career opportunities in public sector banks and explained recruitment process of public sector banks. More than 100 students were participated in the workshop.
