The Departmental Blog formed in the assessment period aiming to provide an opportunity for the students to learn more about the subject. The students, teachers and other stakeholders gets acquainted with the details of the Syllabus, Question papers, PDF files, PPTs, Audio-Videos, Study Material and information about outreach activities. It is the excellent academic promotion of the Department.

2) Student-Centric Activities

A) Arthavedh Wall Paper

“Arthavedh”. It is a student-centric activity. Students prepare wall papers on the subject related to various concepts and terms and display them on the occasion of the inauguration of Arthavedh.

  • “Impact of Demonetization on Indian Economy” inaugurated on 21th Sept. 2017.
  • “New Economic Policy” inaugurated on 28th August 2017.
  • “Budget 2021-22” inaugurated on Feb. 2020.

B) Industrial Visits

Industrial visit has its own importance in the career of a student who is pursuing a professional degree. With the aim to go beyond academics, industrial visits provide students a practical perspective on the world of work. The list provided

C) Guest Lectures

D) Consumer Day: 24th December

The Department celebrates National Consumer Rights Day on 24th December every year to spread awareness about consumer rights and responsibilities. It hosted several Guest Lectures to enlighten student about their responsibilities towards Nations stability.

E) Guest lecture on Union Budget

After declaration of Union Budget on every year a expert in economics are invited on dice to share their expertise regarding declared budget.

F) Study Tour

The goal of study tour is to help teachers build rapport with their students. It provides an opportunity to explore the many facets of the department. During the assessment period, the Department of Economics organized three study tours.

G) National Webinar

The Department of Economics undertook various Co-Curricular and Extra Curricular activities to meet the academic excellences. During the assessment period, the Department organized 1 Webinar, 1 Workshop and 3 Guest Lectures to enrich knowledge of different curriculum of the subject related themes to the students.

Conducted National Webinar on “Covid-19: Impact, Challenges and Remedies” on 25th July 2020. The speaker, in his speech, talked about how the pandemic disturbed the world economy and presented remedies for the same.

5) Add-on Course: Stock Market Transaction

In the assessment period, Department of Economics offered an add-on course entitled “Stock Market Transaction” in collaboration with Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The Course is started from the Academic Year 2019-20. The duration of the course is 10 days. The aim of the course is to provide stock market knowledge to the students.
